Acanthamoeba trophozoites with scanty inflammatory cells in a corneal stroma seen, stained with H&E stain. Trophozoites resembles the macrophages, with cytoplasmic vacuolation (red arrow), retraction cleft and distinct nucleus in tissue section. The epithelium is not seen.
